How does Popcatch compare with other loyalty software out there?

How does Popcatch work? What does it do?

Popcatch is loyalty software that runs off your web browser. Simply ask customers for their full name and email or mobile number to set them up. When they come the next time, ask them for their email or mobile to look them up and add/redeem points.

What about the customer privacy issues involved with this process?

Our research has uncovered that most customers - with the odd exception - are comfortable with being identified by their email address, phone number and even their home address. If it is all in context, it makes sense for them to share their details. If you are concerned, you can always give them a card to add their details to and hand to the cashier, or get them to write their details down and shred them after use. The latter is what our pharmacy customers do.

Isn't it faster to scan a card than look up details?

Scanning a card shaves off approximately 5-10 seconds. If you are in a fast-paced environment like a supermarket or fast food chain, this amount of time would add up and using Popcatch wouldn't be worthwhile. However if you are in any other business, 10 seconds is worth the saving you'd make in card printing costs, staff training and software management fees.

I already provide a frequent purchaser card. How is this better?

Frequent purchaser cards are prone to fraud - especially if they rely on staff initials for purchase recording. They also don't give you any information about customers such as when they last visited or overall information such as how many people are are participating in your program, how many points have they accumulated and how many points they have used etc.

I want to change my loyalty program to Popcatch. How can we switch?

We suggest you do a pilot with a small set of regular customers who are happy to help you out with trying Popcatch. Get in touch with us about how we can help switch your customers over to our simpler, easier loyalty program. We'll need to know the number of customers you are looking to switch over and the name of the loyalty software you currently use.

Will you back your product with a moneyback guarantee?

Absolutely. If within 30 days of using Popcatch, you aren't absolutely happy with the results, let us know and we'll give you your money back.

What doesn't Popcatch do?

We are about keeping things simple and straightforward. For this reason, Popcatch does not integrate with point-of-sale systems or provide deep customer segmentation (at this stage). We also don't gather irrelevant details such as home address because mailouts are much more expensive and environmentally unfriendly than email.

How safe is it to use Popcatch?

All areas of Popcatch where customer data is stored and accessed are secured with 256-bit SSL. This is the same security standard that your bank would be using for its online banking service.

What happens if my Internet goes down?

In the event that your Internet goes down, you can simply record the points your customer has earned and their details and enter it when your Internet is back up and running. If you get regular problems with Internet, we recommend against signing up for Popcatch.

What happens to my data if I decide to cancel?

If you decide to cancel, you can request us to provide you your customer data (in the most common CSV format) to use in other loyalty systems. We always insist that you inform customers that you are changing systems to prevent confusion.

Why is web-based loyalty software better than something I can install?

Software that runs of the web is just as secure as software that runs on your own computer. The main benefit is that updates are automatically installed and maintenance is done regularly so you're always up-to-date.
